Educator Professional Learning at Genovesi Environmental Study Center

Genovesi Environmental Study Center's (GESC’s) professional learning and instructional resources strengthen science teaching, promote and reinforce science knowledge, apply engineering design, and build teachers’ capacity to build pedagogical practices in science and STEM fields. GESC engages teachers in authentic experiences that challenge them to think critically about real-world issues and develop strategies to infuse these concepts, skills and knowledge into their classroom practice. GESC offers single day professional learning on the Chancellor’s Conference Days and multi-day series throughout the year. GESC professional learning offerings provide teachers with hands-on experiences that demonstrate how experimental science can be integrated into instruction as a true extension of the classroom.
