NYC's Emergency FoodLine
New York City's Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) to connect people with free food quickly in two ways: groceries from a food pantry or a cooked meal from a community kitchen

Hunger Free America

A free, three-year certification training to help you recognize early signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance misuse

Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-based Violence
New York City's program ensures access to services for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. Also provides training and prevention education, develops policies and programs, performs community outreach, conducts research, and operates the NYC Family Justice Centers.

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
New York City's health resources including vaccine and flu shot information, health insurance information, certifications, permits and licenses, and locations of low-cost or no-cost health clinics

NYC DOE Office of School Wellness Programs

New York City's free tax prep and filing, either online or in-person, for New Yorkers that meet their yearly income qualifications

Housing Ambassadors Program
HPD partners with community-based service providers in New York City who help people prepare and apply for Housing Connect affordable housing lotteries. Housing Ambassadors can provide information and assistance with the application process.

NYC Financial Empowerment Centers provide FREE one-on-one professional, financial counseling and coaching to support you in reaching your goals.

Legal Aid Society: Homeless Rights Project
The Homeless Rights Project protects and enforces the legal rights of homeless families and individuals in New York City. They provide law reform representation to groups of homeless families and individuals as well as direct representation for families who come to them through a toll-free helpline and ongoing outreach in emergency housing facilities.
