P.S. Art

P.S. Art 2023:

Celebrating The Creative Spirit Of NYC Kids…and 21 Years of PS Art!

Each year P.S. Art acknowledges outstanding artwork and exemplary instruction in grades pre-K to 12 through a citywide competition, exhibition and catalog. The New York City Department of Education – in partnership with Studio in a School and the Metropolitan Museum of Art - convene panels of artists, arts professionals and art educators to serve in two rounds of judging. Final selections highlight exemplary artwork and practice as they relate to the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in Visual Arts.

This is our 21st P.S. Art exhibition, and our 16th exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

We look forward to receiving your students’ exemplary work, especially now that they have returned to working in the creative atmosphere of their art rooms, directly with their visual arts teachers.

For catalogs of P.S. Art work, please contact Karen Rosner, Director of Visual Arts (KRosner@schools.nyc.gov).

If you have any questions email psart@schools.nyc.gov

The competition is now accepting submissions (deadline February 17th 2023, 11:59pm).

Guidelines are available in this P.S. Art Guidelines document.

Enter your students’ art work through the P.S. Art 2022 application.
